Carol Flint
1944 - 2017

Carol Flint, born February 23, 1944, to Joseph Manning Flint and Irene Stoddard Flint, in Ogden, Utah, passed away on August 25, 2017.

Carol grew up in Ogden and belonged to the first graduating class of Bonneville High School. She spent most of her life in Ogden, but fell in love with Seattle, Washington where she lived for a short period of time. She worked for the IRS and retired from Hill Air Force Base.

Carol was fun, loving and adventurous. Her eyes were very expressive and her laugh could imply mischievousness. Carol was a very passionate person. She had a love for animals and at an early age, would even sing to the sheep on her Grandma and Grandpa’s farm in West Point. She had a special relationship with her grandma Lillie that was very endearing. She enjoyed writing poetry, dancing, bowling, a good movie, playing cards, and a funny joke.

Carol leaves behind her son, Steven Beckstead of Washington Terrace; grandson, Bray Beckstead; great-grandsons, Brax and Bode Beckstead; siblings, Gary (Mary) Flint of Hooper, Stan (Judy) Flint of Roy, Jolene (Geary) Weyburn of Roy; along with many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Carol is preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.

A Celebration of her life and luncheon will be held for friends and family on Saturday, September 16, at the Roy Hope Center at 5051 South 2000 West, Roy, from 2 to 4 p.m.

“When I Go”
Don’t put me in a cold steel box
Or in a hole of Earth and rocks
Let fire cure my body’s ills
And free my spirit that knows and feels,
Let the ashes that remain
Become a part of sun and rain
To settle on the mountain high
And let my spirit fly
