He was awarded the Korean Service Medal and also the Bronze Star.
When Jesse returned from overseas, he married the love of his life, Evangeline Hartt of Rock Springs, Wyoming December 18, 1952, at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. They had three children, Louis K. Flores (Nancy) of Olympia Washington, Barbara A. Bragdon (Bernard) of Vassalboro, Maine and Angela M. White (Roger) of Pleasant View, Utah.
Jesse was employed by the Union Pacific Railroad until his retirement and held many positions including Manager of Communications and Engineer. He was a well known business owner in the Ogden area and active member of many organizations including the American Legion, Benevolent Order of Elks, and Foot Printers, where he participated in many charitable activities.
