Margaret Perry Sjoblom, 85, of North Ogden, Utah, passed away October 5, 2017. She was born on August 26, 1932, in Yellville, Arkansas, the daughter of George Helm and Norma Smith Perry. Her family moved to Idaho when she was 3 years old, where her father farmed a large dry farm. She attended school through 5th grade in a one room schoolhouse where her mother was the teacher. Her family then moved to Logan, Utah, during the winters so the children could get a better education. Margaret graduated from Logan High School in 1950 and attended Utah State Agricultural College where she met, and later married Wallace D. Sjoblom on May 22, 1952, in the Logan Temple. They were married for 65 years.

Margaret was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served faithfully in many church callings. She was such a kind, loving person who enjoyed caring for her family. She also enjoyed canning fruits and the many vegetables her husband grew. As her memory diminished in the later years of her life she continued to be a sweet, loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She will be remembered by her family for her big smile and frequent laugh, and for the wonderful meals she prepared.

Margaret is survived by her husband, Wallace; her brother Robert (Winona) Perry: her children, Gary (Dorothy) Sjoblom, Diane (Rex) Cragun, Randy (Jill) Sjoblom, David (Beth) Sjoblom, Julie (Troy) Thurston and Darin (Jo) Sjoblom; and her 29 grandchildren and 42 great-grandchildren.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers George and Merrill Perry; her sister Marsha Perry, and a grandson—Brandon Sjoblom.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at the North Ogden 7th Ward, 205 E. Elberta Drive, North Ogden. Viewings will be held at the church on Friday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday prior to the service from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Interment will be at the Ben Lomond Cemetery.

Special thanks to the caring staff at Hearts for Hospice, Intermountain Homecare, Brookdale Assisted Living, and Quail Meadow Assisted Living.

Arrangements entrusted to Myers Ogden Mortuary.
