Ray Marvin Eck died of natural causes on August 11, 2017 at the age of 91. He was born in Providence, Utah. He is the son of William and Myrtle Eck, and grew up on a farm in Dayton, Idaho. He is preceded in death by sisters Evelyn and Wilma, brothers Reed, Dale and his twin, Roy. He is also preceded by his wife of 67 years, Flora Maughan Eck. He is survived by his sister Shirley Corless, and brother Eldon Bud Eck. He was drafted in 1943 and served in the Army’s 106th infantry. He participated in the “Battle of the Bulge”, was wounded and became a POW. He married Flora Maughan June 30, 1947 and had 2 children Marva (Lynn) Yates and Ronald (Leslie) Eck. The family moved to Ogden, Utah in 1959. Ray retired from Defense Depot Ogden in 1980. He will be laid to rest in the Weston, Idaho Cemetery.
