Robert Spencer Terry
October 4, 1932 - July 3, 2017
Roy- Robert Spencer Terry, 84, passed away on Monday, July 3, 2017, at McKay Dee Hospital. Robert was born October 4, 1932, in Ogden, Utah, to Raymond Franklin and Stella Clarke Terry.
He married Elda Schneider on November 26, 1952, in the Salt Lake Temple.
Robert's family moved to a farm in Roy when he was a young boy. Robert grew up in Roy and was a resident at his passing. He attended Roy elementary school, Riverdale Junior High and Weber High School.
Robert served in the United States Army during the Korean War, serving a tour of duty in Korea.

Robert was employed at Hill Air Force Base, while there he attended Weber State College earning a degree in Electrical Engineering Technology. Upon his graduation he went to work for Westinghouse Corporation, where he worked as a Field Service Engineer, a career that took him on many adventures throughout the World.

Robert was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, holding many callings over the years. He enjoyed working in the temple. He and his wife Elda spent many years working in the Ogden Temple and spent a year working in the Washington DC Temple. He loved to tinker with things and enjoyed traveling. Most of all he loved family.

He is survived by daughters, Peggy (Malin) Erickson. Robin (Mark) Ferrin, sons, Rodney (Janet) Terry, and Michael (Natalie) Terry, 16 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren, sisters, Carol Stark, Jeanette (Jim) Matis, and Elaine Johnson.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Jack, Howard, Richard and Keith.

Special thanks to the Comfort Keepers staff, the staff at the George E. Whalen Veterans Home and family who helped over the past few months.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, July 10, 2017, at 11:00 a.m., at Myers Roy Mortuary, 5865 South 1900 West, Roy, Utah. A viewing for family and friends will be held on Sunday, July 9, 2017, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m., and on Monday from 9:40 - 10:40 a.m., prior to services.

Interment in Roy City Cemetery.
