PERRY – William Cutler Fillmore, 63, passed away Monday, March 24, 2014 at McKay Dee Hospital after a long courageous battle with cancer.
William was born November 6, 1950 in Brigham City, Utah a son of Joyce Cutler and Albert Leslie Fillmore.
He graduated from Box Elder High School and attended Utah State. He served an LDS Mission to North California, upon return he was drafted into the National Guard.
William married his sweetheart Linda Ferrin on July 18, 1973 in the Ogden LDS Temple.
He was an active member of the LDS church and served as a Sunday School Teacher, Elders Quorum President, Counselor Bishopric, High Priest Group Leadership was among some of his many church callings. William was currently serving a mission in the Conference Center at Temple Square in Salt Lake City. William worked as a welder for ATK for 29 years. He loved farming and worked as a farmer for many years. He enjoyed building farm equipment models and adding to his room in his basement, until the day he could obtain a real farm. One of his greatest loves was his kids and grandkids. He enjoyed being out doors, camping and learned to enjoy reading. William created many projects that brought his family much laughter and great memories. We will always remember your "Willie-isms".
Surviving are his wife Linda, children: Wendy (Paul) Clark, NC; Mark William (Shannon) Fillmore, WA; Brooke (John) Pettley, Brigham City; Gregory Brian Fillmore, Roy; and 11 grandchildren. Also siblings: Joan Kelly, Stephen (Carolyn) Fillmore, Barbara (Dave) Washburn, Harold (Terry) Fillmore, Susan (John) Flinders.
Preceded in death by his parents, brother-in-law George Kelly and nephew Scott Thornblad.
Funeral services will be Saturday, March 29, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Three Mile Creek Chapel, 1290 W. 2950 S., Perry, UT.
Friends may call Friday 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Myers Mortuary, 205 S. 100 E., Brigham City, UT and Saturday 10:00 to 10:40 a.m. at the Church. Interment will be in the Brigham City Cemetery.
