Obituary

Scott Gary Knavel was called home on Easter Sunday, April 16, 2017 with his loving wife by his side.
Scott brought fire and spice in his parents' lives when he was born on July 24, 1979 in Brigham City, Utah a son of Merilyn Peterson and Gary Knavel.
He attended Bunderson Elementary, Box Elder Jr. High and Box Elder High School.
Scott married his sweetheart NaCoal Heath on June 26, 2007 in Richmond, Utah.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Scott worked for Storm Products as an assistant production manager. Scott received "The Power of Team" award for his "Heroic Life Saving Efforts," when he noticed a co-worker had collapsed and alerted others to aid him in giving CPR until paramedics arrived. He thrilled over others' successes. Scott was always so proud when he could teach someone something new, or help them succeed. He once taught someone to drive a forklift before they learned to drive a car.
We were blessed to learn many valuable lessons from Scott in his 37 years.
Scott showed us by example how to be stubborn, but level-headed open minded. He was a great leader, open and soft hearted, patient, and knew how to really listen. Scott always looked on the bright side, made you laugh even when you were angry; helped you to laugh it off or figure it out. He was hilarious. Scott was an amazing friend, loyal, unselfish, told it like it was, but was very respectful and accepting. He treated everyone like family. Scott believed everything depends on everything else, and liked skulls, which to him represented ultimate fairness-no matter how rich or poor, powerful or down trodden, death comes for all.
Scott enjoyed four wheeling, golf, bocce ball, bowling, camping, BBQ's, family get togethers, PlayStation, horse shoes, paintballing and volleyball. He always loved doing things on the spur of the moment and was an adrenalin junky.
Scott loved his wife NaCoal, his parents, his family and his "extended Storm family" very much.
Survived by his wife, NaCoal; parents: Gary and Merilyn Knavel; siblings: Toni (Rob) O'Brien; Christie (Randy) Steed; Kim (Ron) Bukowski; Teresa (Paul) Roubidoux; David Knavel; Jenn (Ben) Bruderer and was an amazing uncle to many nieces and nephews who will miss him greatly.
Preceded in death by his brother Blaine Gary Knavel; grandparents: George L. and Verda Bowden Knavel, Doyle Myrland and Lucille Chapman Peterson.
Funeral services will be Friday, April 21, 2017 at 12:00 noon at Myers Mortuary, 205 S. 100 E., Brigham City, UT.
Viewings will be Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Friday from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Mortuary.

Scott was an amazing person that will be missed by many.
