Lynn Hodson Yates passed away on June 9, 2017. He was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on May 22, 1932 to Alton and Louise Hodson Yates. He was sealed for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake Temple to Dolores Mae Braswell on December 26, 1952. Together, they had 4 children.

Lynn was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and worked as a custodian in nine different ward buildings for the LDS Church. He served in many different callings, including Scout Master, Sunday School teacher, Stake Sunday School President, Bishop, Stake High Council, and High Priest Group leader. He enjoyed reading and gardening, but most of all spending time with his family.

Lynn served in the U.S. Air Force During the Korean War.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Dolores Mae; his children; David Yates, Gary Yates, Tammy Yates, and Terry Yates; and his brother, Robert Yates. He is preceded in death by his parents.

A viewing will be on Friday, June 16, 2017, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Myers Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd., Ogden. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 17, 2017, at 11 a.m. at Mount Lewis 5th Ward, 550 E 900 N, Ogden, with a viewing prior to the services from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m.
