Obituary

Kimiye Miyasaki Aoki passed away peacefully on November 21, 2017. She was born in Fowler California on September 20, 1922. She married Horace Satoshi Aoki on March 1, 1945, who preceded her in death in 2008. She was a long-time resident of Honeyville, Utah until she and Horace moved to Layton, Utah in 2005. She was an active member of the Honeyville Buddhist Church and Fujinkai and held leadership positions in both organizations. She said her full-time job was as a housewife and that her part time job was as a packer and candy dipper for the Idle Isle Candy Co. in Brigham City where she worked for 40 years. She loved gardening, traveling, the Utah Jazz, reading and mostly her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She always seemed the happiest when the grand-kids and great-grand-kids were visiting.
She is survived by sons: Ron (Kathy), Harley (Cheryl), John (Debi), grandchildren, Brock Aoki, Christy (Gary) Silvanic, Ryan (Jill) Aoki, Scott Aoki, Jill Aoki, great-grandchildren, Lauren Aoki, Josh Silvanic, Steven Aoki, Kate Aoki and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by brothers: Ted Miyasaki, George Miyasaki, sister Haruko Tanaka.
Funeral services will be held at the Honeyville Buddhist Church, 3945 W. 6900 North, Honeyville, on Saturday December 23, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. Visitation with the family one hour prior to services at 10:00 a.m.
