Obituary

Our mother and grandmother, Ellen “Mickie” Callista O'Brien Christensen passed away Monday April 23 2018 at the age of 95. She was born in Butte MT to Raymond J and Ellen Hogan O'Brien in 1923. She was raised in Montana and Colorado, along with her 2 brothers and 2 sisters.

After graduating from high school she moved to Ogden Utah. She worked at Hill AFB during WWII, where she met her future husband, Ralph M Christensen. They married in 1952, and after a brief time in Utah returned to Idaho. Together, they raised four children on farms in Downey and Grace Idaho. She was a homemaker and active in the local VFW post, serving in many local and state leadership positions. They moved to Burley Idaho in retirement and made many friends while living there. She spent her last years at Country Pines Assisted Living, again making many friends and endearing herself to the residents and staff.

She is survived by her four children, Judy Donnelson, Rodney Christensen, Doug (Cathy) Christensen and Nancy (Brian) Logan. Also surviving are five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, one brother and one sister. She was preceded in death by her husband, one sister and one brother.

The family would like to thank all the doctors, nurses, CNAs, family and friends who made Mom's last year comfortable. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Funeral services will be held Monday, April 30, 2018 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 4050 South 3900 West, West Haven, Utah at 10:00 A.M. A viewing will be held Sunday, April 29, 2018 at Myers Mortuary 5865 South 1900 West Roy, Utah, from 6:00-8:00 P.M.
