Myers Mortuary offers grief support groups for those families who have had a loss and are looking for way to ease the pain. Our support groups are open to the public- you need not have been served by Myers Mortuary to participate.

Myers has a grief support library with helpful books and brochures open to the entire community at no cost. And when you can't find the right words, we can help you explain death to children by sharing literature with you prepared by child specialists. We are also available to speak in schools, churches, and to civic organizations.

"Good Grief: A practical program for coping with grief and bereavement for widowed people.

The "Good Grief" program for widowed persons is now in it's 44th year, with hundreds of widowed persons from all over the area attending. We are sure that this excellent program can be most helpful for you also. There is no charge for those wishing to attend.

Extensive research into the area of dying, death and bereavement indicates that of all the many difficult and trying events of life, the death of a husband of wife is the most traumatic experience we normally have in life. It is such a difficult and challenging experience that our lives are never quite the same. As we cope with the death of spouse, it is well to realize that grief is generally predictable and normal.

Our "Good Grief" meetings are held in the Spring and Fall. Please don't be hesitant to attend. These informal sessions will be a form of survival training for an emotional time, which is part of living. Bring a friend and join us in exploring one of life's most difficult problems that does have positive solutions.

Beareaved Parents: Coping with the Death of a Child

with the intention of easing that pain. It is a community outreach service of Myers Mortuaries, open to the public -- especially for bereaved parents and grandparents of any age child. It is free of charge. We gently invite you to attend any or all of the four presentations.
