Colleen Venice (Jensen) Wild

Our loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother returned to our Heavenly Father on Monday, September 2, 2019.

Colleen was born May 29, 1925 in Brigham City, Utah to Claudius and Clara Ellen Brown Jensen.

She was raised in Mantua and Brigham City, and graduated from Box Elder High School and her church seminary program. Colleen was a Brigham City telephone operator and Federal Government PBX Operator.  She won the heart of a young Army Air Corp Cadet Walter Herbert Wild which was convalescing at the Bushnell Military Hospital in Brigham City. They were married on July 7, 1944 and later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple.

Colleen enjoyed flowers, journals, Books of Remembrance, genealogy, teaching, serving as a stake missionary and temple ordinance worker. Colleen’s legacy of love, service, and dedication will continue on in the lives of her family and friends she touched so greatly.

She is survived by her brother Berlin Jensen; sister Delone’ Bond; six children, Marlene Martin (Albert deceased), Wendell (Mary) Wild, Carlleen Anderson, Randell (Mariann) Wild, Kendell (Natalie) Wild, and David Wild; 21 grandchildren, 58 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great- grandchildren.

Colleen was preceded in death by her husband; parents; Brother Carlyle Jensen; Son-in-law Albert Martin, and grandson Nicholas Wild and great-granddaughter Kelsie Marie. Colleen and the family would like to thank her other family, Hurricane Health and Rehabilitation and all those who provided medical and personal care over the last four years for their loving care.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Myers Mortuary in Brigham City, 205 South 100 East Brigham City, Utah.

A viewing will be from 9:30-10:45 a.m. at the Mortuary.

Interment will be in the Brigham City Cemetery.
