Efrain Coria Gil
Efrain was born in Huaniqueo de Morales, Michoacán, Mexico on March 24, 1946. His parents are Aurelio Coria Tovar and Consuelo Gil Chavez. He passed away in Ogden on July 6, 2019. His siblings, Rosaura Coria, Alberto Coria, Griselda Coria, Glafira Coria, Norma Coria and Herlinda Coria all reside in Mexico.
Efrain attended “Internado España – Mexico” for his primary education and attended “Casa del Estudiante” trade school where he became an electrician technician.
He lived in Ciudad de Mexico for some time and lived in Chicago, Illinois from 1973- 1983. There he met and married Maria Dolores Aburto and formed a family with their children: Octavio Aburto, Marco Coria and Yunuen Coria.
Later they all moved to Morelia, Michoacan, México where they lived from 1983 to 2006.
In 2006, Efrain and Dolores decided to start over and moved back to the United States. They settled in Ogden, Utah were they currently reside.
Efrain made close and dear friends throughout all the stages of his life. His family was very important to him and he was always close to all of his family members. He was a devoted fan of his home team Atletico Morelia. He had a very positive outlook at life. He was always witty and loved music. He cared deeply for his six grandchildren and was always looking out for his family.
He is survived by his wife, Dolores, his sons Octavio and Marco. Octavio and his family live in Morelia, Mexico. Marco lives in Ogden, and his family resides in Morelia, Mexico. Efrain’s daughter, Yunuen, is married to Haylen Jensen, and they reside in North Salt Lake.
A viewing will be held at Myers Mortuary on 845 Washington Blvd, Ogden on Tuesday, July 9, from 3:00 – 6:00 p.m. followed by a Rosary at 6:00. A mass will be held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church at 514 24th Street in Ogden at noon on Wednesday.
