Elizabeth Ann Brents

Elizabeth Ann Brents, 87, passed away on July 15 2019, from causes incident to age.  She was born on January 27, 1932 in Massena NY to Frank and Nellie Hobens.  She was the third of four children.  Betty married her high school sweetheart, Bobby Joe Brents, on July 2 1950.  After visits from multiple sets of missionaries from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, they embraced the restored Gospel of Jesus Christ and were the only members of their immediate family to do so.  They were sealed for time and all Eternity with their four daughters in the Los Angeles Temple on April 11, 1964.

Betty enjoyed spending time with her large extended family.   She never missed sending birthday cards which included money or special gifts to each and every one of her family members.  She loved doing handwork, reading, listening to books on tape, and was an excellent cook.  She had a unique ability to reach out to people of all ages, had a witty sense of humor, and didn’t know a stranger.

Betty is survived by her daughters Vickie (Steve) Hutchinson, Leslie (Brian) Fryhoff, Connie (Glen) Ricks, and Suzanne (Rick) Shelton, 19 grandchildren, and 45 great grandchildren.  She was proceeded in death by her husband, parents, siblings, and granddaughter.

A viewing will be held Monday July 22, 2019 from 12:00 to 1:45 pm at Myers Mortuary, 205 S 100 E Brigham City, UT.  Funeral services will be at the same location at 2:00 pm.  Internment will follow at the Brigham City Cemetery.
