Karma Area Obituary

Karma Lee Area, passed away at her home on October 8th, 2019.

Karma was born April 12th, 1966, in Ogden, Utah to Nelda Marie Gamble and Kay Langston. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She graduated from Ben Lomond High School in 1984. Karma lived in Phoenix, Arizona for 18 years.

On April 29th, 1988, Karma married Robert Knudsen, they later divorced. She married Steve Eilander in 1994, they later divorced.  On December 18th, 2004, Karma married Patrick Area. Patrick and Karma were the owners of, “Area Steel Erectors”. They enjoyed many years together before Patrick passed away on October 11th, 2015.

Karma was the loving mother of three children: Kaylie Eilander, Stephonya (James) Bass and Renae Area. She was also known as mother to her son/grandson, Decklynn Area. She leaves behind two more grandchildren: Jayzonya and Serenity.

Time spent with her children and grandchildren was a great pleasure for Karma. She also loved listening to country music, being outdoors and eating sushi. Karma enjoyed her Betty Boop and Harley Davidson keepsakes. Tom Petty was her favorite singer.

Karma will be missed forever more. “We love you to the moon and back, forever more”! Karma comes in 3. She believed in karma; what comes around goes around.

Karma is survived by her children, grandchildren; her niece Cristal Smith who she loved very much; best friend Sherry Bass and two stepsons Ricky Eilander and Kelly Eilander. Also her friends Denise and Mike Hadley, who were there for her through thick and thin, she loved them very dearly and thought of them as family. As well as Susan, her dear friend from Arizona, who helped her get though her rough times. She is preceded in death by: her husband, Patrick Area, her mother, Nelda Born, her step-father, Dave Born, her father, Kay Langston and her sister, Tink “Miri” Langston.
