Randy Hebdon Obituary

Randy passed away on January 23, 2020 at his  home surrounded by his family.

Randy was born on November 18, 1942 in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Eldon I and Fontell Clifford Hebdon.  Following the death of Eldon in WWII, he was raised by his mother and step father, Don C Messervy.  He lived in Idaho Falls, Orem, Brigham City, Ogden, and Sunset, Ut. He graduated from Box Elder High School.

He served an LDS Mission in Northwestern States Mission 1962-1964. Upon his return he married Sharon Kaye Duncan, Nov 13, 1964 in Orem Utah, they were sealed in the Ogden Temple May 4, 1974.

Randy was a professional truck driver for over 40 years and enjoyed participating in semi-truck rodeo’s and truck shows. He also assisted with the Drivers Ed Program in the area High Schools teaching students safety around semi-trucks. His joy was watching two sons and a nephew following in his footsteps of truck driving. After retiring from truck driving, he finished up his career as a Pilot Car driver.

He was a member of the Ogden 15th ward and later the Sunset 3rd and 7th wards. He served as a Sunday School President and most recently a home teacher. He has a strong testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ and shared it numerous times during his driving career.

Randy is survived by his children: Shelly (Rob) Stiffler-Saratoga Springs, Sean (Kodi Hendricks) Hebdon, Sunset, Andra (Ryan) Thorne – Clearfield. Grandkids: Braden and Kemauri Hebdon, RyLeigh, Duncan, Amylee Thorne, Kayden, Annie, Faith, Kira Hendricks. Two Great-grandchildren Jonas and Holly.  1 nephew and 1 niece Dan Norris and Cindy Norris, Serria Vista, Az.
