Richard Orland Cordon II
April 11, 1961 – November 29, 2019
Richard Orland Cordon II was born to Richard O Cordon I and Fosteen (Simmons) Cordon on April 11, 1961 in Ogden, Utah.
He passed peacefully at his home on November 29, 2019, with his loving wife and children.
Richard graduated from Layton High school.
Richard married Sherry Kim Leavitt on April 10, 1987 in Syracuse, Utah. They were married 32 years.
He served in the US Army, September 11, 1979 to January 28, 1982 and was medically Retired Rank- E-4/CPL. He was stationed in Grafinveir, Germany with the 2nd ACR. He was currently working at HAFB in the Aviation Maintenance and Logistics Operations.
Richard’s hobbies and interests were Ford Mustangs 1966-2020, gun smith and shooting, funny pranks that only family and close friends would appreciate and being a fantastic father and granddad who had a very special way of showing love to his family and friends. He was a spiritual man.
Richard is survived by his wife, Sherry Kim Cordon, Hooper, UT. His children; Daniel Brian Cordon (Son) El Paso, TX, Kristy Lynn Drysdale (Daughter) Syracuse, UT, Richard Orland Cordon III (Son) Hooper, UT, Mathew Christopher Cordon (Son) Hooper, UT, and Kimberly Kay Cordon (Daughter) Hooper, UT, Michael Moses Cordon (Son) Hooper, UT. Grandchildren; Sierra M Cordon, Daniel B Cordon II, Kaleb Cordon, Kyra Cordon -El Paso, TX, Makinna Cordon, Ryder Drysdale, Jace Drysdale, Krew Drysdale, Syracuse, UT.
Richard is reuniting with his father (Richard O Cordon I), mother (Fosteen Cordon) and son (Christopher Avery Cordon) in heaven.
Special Thanks to the F15 Landing gear section, Fight Test family, HAFB Family as well as all the amazing neighbors and friends who have reached out to our family during our time of loss.
A visitation will be held Thursday, December 5, 2019 from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM at Myers Mortuary 5865 S 1900 W Roy, Utah. Interment will follow at Hooper City Cemetery.
