Robert William Lowery

Robert W. Lowery passed away Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at his home in Brigham City. 

Bob was born in Brigham City on July 10, 1945 to Viola Hansen and William Gladstone Lowery, both deceased.

He graduated from Box Elder High School in 1963.  Bob made many friends along the way.  He began working at local cafes and for Dick Parsons at his filling station.  He continued to work part-time for Parsons Service Center for 30 plus years.  In 1966, he began working for Parson Redi-Mix Company and was a driver for 49 years until his retirement at age 70. In 2011, he was awarded National Truck Driver of the Year by The National Ready Mixed Concrete Association with a ceremony in Las Vegas, Nevada.

He married Vicki Lynn Johnston in Jackson Hole, Wyoming in December of 1973. Bob and Vicki have two incredible sons, Brian William (Alysia) and Adam Stuart (Victoria).

He is survived by his wife, sons, brother Gary (Cozette), along with many loving cousins, nieces and nephews.

Bob loved bowling, hunting, fishing, and spending time with family and friends. He loved to take Vicki to Sunday breakfast, and they made monthly drives to Idaho for lottery tickets. Bob enjoyed gambling and took many trips to Wendover to play cards, Evanston to bet on the horses, and he never missed his Friday night poker game with his great friends in Ogden. Bob also loved playing rummy and pinochle with his best friends Paul and Susan Neilson and traveling with them and their family.

We would like to thank all of our family and friends for their love and support, especially his wonderful sister-in-law and brother-in-law Leslie and Lance Gamble, his cousins Shonna (George) Dawson and Mike (Liz) Hansen, and Bristol Home Health and Hospice for their compassion and care.

Services will be held Friday, December 6, 2019 at 11:00 am at Myers Mortuary Chapel, 205 S. 100 E., Brigham City, UT.

Family and friends are invited to attend a viewing on Thursday, December 5, 2019 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at the Mortuary.

Interment in the Brigham City Cemetery.
