Arlene Daley

Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, Arlene passed away peacefully on August 7, 2022 at her home in Roy, Utah, surrounded by her loved ones. Arlene Gladys Stoddard was born on November 30, 1933 to Hyrum F. Stoddard and Grace Margaret Henstra and was one of seven siblings.
Arlene married the love of her life, Clyde D. Daley on September 7, 1948 and they built a life together for a remarkable 73 years. Arlene was a wonderful wife and devoted mother to three daughters and two sons. She was a loving grandmother to 15 grandchildren, and 27 great grandchildren who all loved her dearly.
Early on in her life, she and Clyde enjoyed dancing and traveling and together they loved gardening and canning. Arlene loved Elvis, a hot cup of tea and lemon poppyseed muffins. She had a green thumb, and could grow anything, her favorite being houseplants. She enjoyed crochet, quilting, sewing, baking sugar cookies for dad, playing the slots at the casinos near their property in Beaver Dam Arizona, enjoying family at their property, Wild River Ranches, in the Uinta mountains, near the Bear River. Arlene had a great sense of humor, a quiet spirit of perseverance, and she never passed on an opportunity to cheer on her Utah Jazz. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband, Clyde D. Daley Sr.; her children: daughter Cassie (Robin - deceased) Newberry, daughter Gloria Thedell, son Clyde Jr. (Shannon) Daley, daughter Tammy (Gabe) Montoya, and son Brett (Maria) (Susie deceased) Daley, her siblings: Shirley (Arthur - deceased) Mosher, Jeanette Carter and Hyrum (Charlean) Stoddard. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and one brother.

A viewing will be held August 15, 2022 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Myers Mortuary at 5865 S. 1900 W. Roy, Utah with graveside service to follow at the Roy cemetery.
