Arneal Gaskins Obituary (1948 - 2017)

Arneal Gaskins Our loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Arneal Gaskins, was called home on January 6, 2017. She was born on January 20, 1948 in Ogden, Utah to Dewitt Robinson Sr. and Arveal Jones Robinson. Arneal married her sweetheart, Jackeln Gaskins Sr. on December 21, 1968. They spent 48 wonderful years together. She was a graduate of Ogden High School. Arneal was a member of the Church of God In Christ and loved to sing in the choir. She worked for the IRS and loved serving in her community. Arneal enjoyed crocheting, baking, canning, gardening and loved being surrounded with her family. She is survived by her loving husband, Jackeln Gaskins Sr.; children, Bonnie Harris-Huff, Donnie Gaskins, Jack Gaskins Jr and Brycelyn Gaskins-Davis; 9 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; siblings, Marjorie Robinson, Dewitt Robinson Jr and Allie Richardson. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Chet O'Neil Harris; sisters, Norma Lee High and Joyetta Robinson; and grandchildren, Christa and Chariese Crawley. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at Myers Ogden Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd. A viewing will be held on Friday, January 13 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the mortuary. Interment will be at the Ogden City Cemetery.
