Bette Jean Weisel Millaway Obituary (1928 - 2017)

Bette Jean Weisel Millaway, 88, passed away peacefully at her home in Maple Springs on the morning of February 2, 2017. She was loved by all and we will miss her dearly. Bette was born in Alliance, Nebraska on November 25, 1928 to Carl Weisel and Irma Davis. She married Charles Walbridge on September 20, 1945. They had a son, Richard Walbridge (deceased) and a daughter, Theresa (Teri) Arthur (deceased). They were later divorced. Bette married Pascal L. Millaway on January 27, 1952. "Pat" brought a son, Gary L. Millaway into the marriage then Bette and Pat had a son, Steven Grant (deceased) and a daughter Carla Jean Withers (Jim), better known as "CJ". Bette had several jobs over the years and especially excelled working in real estate. She worked for many years in the Ogden Temple and was incredibly devoted to her work in family history. Together with Pat, Bette served a mission from November 1991 to May 1993, serving in the Tacloban Philippines Mission. They served a second mission from April 1994 to October 1995, at the Bishops' Storehouse as LDS Employment Specialists. Bette's beloved husband Pat passed away in October of 2002 and after 10 years on her own in her Brigham City home, she moved to Maple Springs in May 2012, where she made many wonderful friends. Bette is survived by her son Gary L. Millaway (Dorathy), of Brigham City, her daughter CJ Withers (Jim) of West Valley City, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held Friday, February 10, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Myers Mortuary Chapel, 205 S. 100 E. Brigham City, Utah. Viewings will be held Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Friday from 10:00 to 10:40 a.m. at Myers Mortuary. Interment will be at the Corinne City Cemetery.
