Darillyn K Lamb Starr Obituary (1954 - 2017)

Darillyn K Starr Darillyn K Lamb Starr 63 passed away on Saturday, September 30, 2017, from a courageous fight with cancer. Darillyn was born on September 21, 1954 in Quantico, Virginia a daughter to Allan and Marillyn Lamb, oldest sister to Druanne and brother Curt. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Darillyn lived in various places including Germany and Hawaii. She attended what is now known as BYU Hawaii and was crowned Miss Church College of Hawaii in 1973, she was also a part of a traveling singing group called Show Case. Darillyn married Stephen Starr on August 15, 1974 and they became a family in 1983. She enjoyed singing, playing the piano, crocheting, traveling and was a military history buff. Darillyn had an affinity for black and white old movies. But most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her grandkids, she would take time to eat ice cream, watch them play outside and watch movies with them. Her life was her family and she cherished each of them. Surviving are her children: Allan Starr; Thomas Starr; Julia Starr; Joseph Starr; and Joanna Starr; five grandchildren: Ashlyn (10); Jayce (6); Drey (5); Averie (4) Raiden (4 months); parents Col. USMC Allan Lamb and Marillyn Lamb and sister Druanne D. Lamb and brother Curt. Preceded in death by her son Stevie Starr, grandparents: Myerl and Lydia Rimpler and her grandmother Mildred Cross. Funeral services will be Thursday, October 5, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. at Myers Mortuary. 205 S. 100 E., Brigham City, UT. A viewing will be 10:00 to 11:40 a.m. at the Mortuary.
