Darma Lofthouse Dietz Obituary (1938 - 2015)

Darma Dietz BRIGHAM CITY - Darma Lofthouse Dietz 77, passed away on Monday, March 23, 2015 at her home. Darma was born on January 29, 1938 in Milford, Utah a daughter of Elva Ann Neely and John Henry Lofthouse. She married Jacob J. Dietz on May 29, 1960 in Salt Lake City Temple. Darma was member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she served in various callings including in the Relief Society, as a Primary President and teacher, and in the Boy Scouts where she received Scouting Award of Merit, and the Silver Beaver. She worked as a Teller at 1st Security Bank for 17 years. Darma loved spending time with her family, her favorite thing was when her grandchildren would come to visit. She enjoyed fishing at Butterfly Lake in the Uintas and camping out. Darma was a wonderful quilter and gave many quilts to her children and grandchildren. Surviving are her husband Jacob, Brigham City; sons: Jeffery Dietz, Brigham City; Daniel M. (Lanice) Dietz, Las Vegas; Brian J. (Jen) Dietz, Chicago; Christopher M. (Stephanie) Dietz, Brigham City; nine grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Also siblings: Lorraine Holm, Deon Morlock, Marion Maxwell, Larry Lofthouse and Terry Lofthouse. Preceded in death by her parents and two sisters and a brother. Graveside services will be Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Brigham City Cemetery. 325 S. 300 E., Brigham City.
