Deleuw Aardema Estes Obituary (1938 - 2015)

DeLeuw Estes Click here to listen to Funeral Recording Our beloved mother and grandmother DeLeuw A. Estes completed her mission in mortality and returned with honor on October 22, 2015. She was born March 5, 1938 in Ogden a daughter of Paul W. and Valine Farr Aardema. She married Richard D. Estes Aug. 2, 1956 in the Logan LDS Temple; he passed away in June 1989. DeLeuw graduated from Ogden High School in 1956. She lived in Utah, Idaho, Wyoming and South Dakota. She enjoyed making friends and was always serving in the church wherever she lived. DeLeuw served in Relief Society, Young Women's and Primary. She was always a visiting teacher. She served as an ordinance worker in the Ogden Temple and served a proselyting mission in 2007 to Manchester England. DeLeuw is survived by her children, Richard D. (Celeste) Estes, Gaylyn (Brian) Barkdull, Laura (Farley) Gerber, Brian D. (Michelle) Estes, Aethea (Jeff) Barton. She was blessed with ten grandchildren and their spouses and 13 great-grandchildren. She loved her family. DeLeuw is also survived by her brother and sisters, Donna Barker, Ralph (Sheila) Aardema, Artimesia (Bob) Pearce, Kris (Larry) Cook, Marta (Larry) Giles, Nada (Reed) Spencer, Ida (Bob) Spencer and a sister-in-law, Kay Aardema. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; her brother, Paul and brother-in-law, Dee. Funeral services will be held at 10 AM on Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at the Canyon Hollows Ward, 1550 Rushton. Friends may call on Tuesday from 6 to 8 PM at Myers Ogden Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd. and on Wednesday at the church from 8:30 to 9:30 AM. Interment, Ogden City Cemetery.
