Delpha Anderson Hill Obituary (1921 - 2009)

Delpha A. Hill ROY - Delpha Alice Anderson Hill beloved wife, mother, and grandmother returned to her Heavenly Father on May 10, 2009 after a short illness. She was born May 26, 1921 in Grover, WY to David and Alice Reeder Crawshaw Anderson. She was the youngest of seven children. On June 20, 1939 she married Earl Sayer Hill in the Logan Temple. They were blessed with three children, Monti Sue (Allen) Green (both deceased), Michael Earl (Vicki), and Jane Ellen (Robert) Henry. Fourteen grandchildren (one deceased) and 21 great-grandchildren have also blessed their lives. Delpha was raised in Star Valley, WY and graduated from Star Valley High School. After living in several states while Earl was in the service, they settled in Ogden and later Roy. In addition to raising her children, she also was employed at Defense Depot Ogden, Naval Supply Depot, and Sperry Utah (Univac). She retired from IRS in 1972. Delpha was active in her church all her life and served in several callings including YW Pres. and Primary Secretary. She was a Visiting Teacher until she passed away. After retiring she and Earl wintered in Florida, California, and for many years in Mesa, Arizona. They loved to Square Dance and travel. They went on many cruises and saw much of the world. She loved to read, crochet, knit, macramAC., sew and do word searches. Her parents and siblings preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband, children and grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 16th, 2009 at Myers Mortuary located at 845 Washington Blvd. Friends may call on Friday, May 15th from 6-8 p.m. and Saturday from 10:00-10:45 a.m. at the mortuary.
