Doris Joye Bingham Nielsen Obituary (1927 - 2009)

ROY - Doris Joye Bingham Nielsen passed away March 18, 2009. She was born to parents Thomas Gilbert and Irene Grace Hauser Bingham June 25, 1927 in Cornish, Utah. She graduated from North Cache High and LDS Seminary as Secretary of her Senior Class. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints and held many positions. She had a strong testimony and loved the Gospel. She was blessed with six children, Cathy (Fred) Sharp, Post Falls ID; Annette (Dan) Pierce, Ogden UT; Robert Pitcher, Todd Pitcher, Hayden Lake ID; Kelly Pitcher, Ogden UT; Irene (Russell) Galt, Layton UT. She married Grant S. Nielsen April 7, 1990 in the Salt Lake Temple. They enjoyed their life together and did many things together. They were able to serve three missions that brought much joy in their lives. They loved serving others. With this marriage she gained five step-children, Brenda (Bill) Jensen; Debra (Norman) Youngdell; Grant (Tauna) Nielsen; Sharol (Byron) Thompsen; Carol (Brad) Stults. Together they had 35 Grandchildren and 41 Great Grandchildren. Her family was the love of her life. She had three sisters, Evona Stanger, Glenda Lowder, Renee Eddy, and one brother, Blaine Bingham. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Glenda and brother, Blaine. At Mother's request, there will be a private family viewing at Myers Mortuary in Roy, Utah with a graveside service March 21, 2009 at 3:30 p.m. at the Logan Cemetery, 1200 East 900 North, Logan.
