Lanez Norman Obituary (1918 - 2010)

Edythe LaNez Davis Norman PERRY, Edythe LaNez Davis Norman passed away peacefully on Nov. 6, 2010 surrounded by her family. She was born Jan. 30, 1918, the 2nd daughter of George Henry Davis and Ruby Luella Davis. LaNez grew up in Brigham City and graduated from Box Elder High School and lived the last several years in Perry She was married to Edward Merl Norman July 8, 1936. Together they had six children. They were later divorced. She was an active member of the LDS church and served as Young Women's President, Ward & Stake Librarian, and taught in the Primary and Young Women's. She was an ordinance worker in the Ogden temple. LaNez attended two years at USU and graduated from Stevens Henager Business College, she worked at American Sportswear, Thiokol, & DDO and she was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. She was very talented and enjoyed crocheting, reading, and doing counted cross stitch. She made fruit leather for her grandchildren. She loved doing genealogy and loved to travel. She sang with the Depotaires and enjoyed square dancing. She is survived by her children: Barbara Skinner, Ogden; Kent R. (Kris) Norman, Honeyville; Gary (Carol) Norman, Mantua; and daughter-in-law Sylvia Norman, Brigham City. 21 Grandchildren, 50 Great-grandchildren and seven Great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, two sisters, a baby daughter Edythe LaNez, and two sons: Dallas Norman, and Duane Norman. Funeral Service will be held on Friday November 12, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Perry Stake Center, 658 W. 2250 S., Perry, UT. Friends and family may call on Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Myers Mortuary, 205 S. 100 E., Brigham City, and on Friday from 10:00 to 10:40 a.m. at the Church. Interment will be in the Paradise Cemetery.
