Erma Ross

ERMA THURGOOD ROSS

CLINTON - Erma Thurgood Ross, 87, passed away Monday, June 25, 2001 at her home.

She was born August 15, 1913 in West Point, a daughter of Judson S. and Jeanette Barton Thurgood.

She married Lincoln M. Ross on May 12, 1937, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

She was a member of the Clinton 13th LDS Ward. She served as president of the Relief Society, Primary and Young Womens organization, and held numerous other positions and callings in the church. She was a graduate of Davis High School.

She was a nurses Aid at the McKay-Dee Hospital for many years.

Her greatest joy in life was her family. She enjoyed family outings and activities. She was an avid sports fan and enjoyed supporting her family in whatever activity they participated in.

She is survived by two sons and two daughters, Clair L. (Raelene) Ross, West Point; Glen J. (Colleen) Ross, Clinton; Janette (Bob) Redford, Syracuse; Sharon (Richard) Steed, Syracuse; 22 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lincoln; brother Alvin; sister Ruby; daughter-in-law Carolyn; grandchild Margene; and great-grandchild Amanda.
