Eugene E. (Cookie) Bauer Obituary (1928 - 2009)

Eugene E. Bauer (Cookie) OGDEN - Eugene E. Bauer, 80, died January 22, 2009 at home in his wife's arms. Eugene was born February 23, 1928 in Fort Morgan, Colorado to George Bauer Jr. and Kathryn Marie Weimer. He married Lois Thompson in 1951 in Sidney, Nebraska; later divorced. He married Pat Call November 12, 1986 in Evanston, WY. He served in the Navy as a Seaman 1st Class. He worked for the Union Pacific Railroad in Sidney, NE then moved to Utah and worked for O.U.R. D Railroad later going back to work for Union Pacific Railroad. Eugene enjoyed bowling, loved to go shopping and watch television. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Sidney. He is survived by his wife Pat; sons Tony Rosario (Robyn) of CO, Randy Bauer of CO, Scott Bauer of WA; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins whom loved him very much. Also survived by his siblings Betty Wistrom, Violet Blome (Paul), William "Bill" Bauer, Bob Bauer (Helen), Carol MIsterek (Gary) and a great-aunt Mrs. Clara Weimer. Preceded in death by his parents; daughter Vickie Boehme; step-son Calvin Joseph Rosario; sister-in-law Ann Bauer; nephew Matthew Bauer and great-nephew Colton Allen. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 27, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at Myers Mortuary Chapel, 845 Washington Blvd., Ogden. Friends may call on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday prior to the service from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Interment, Myers Evergreen Memorial Park, where Military Honors will be accorded.
