Flora May Bates Kesler

BRIGHAM CITYa"Our mother, Flora May Bates Kesler, passed away peacefully on December 20, 2001, at Pioneer Care Center. She was born in Purple Springs, Alberta, Canada February 9th, 1910, to Franklin and Effie Bates. She was the oldest of 13 children.

She married Lora Frederick Kesler in the Cardston Alberta Temple on November 21st, 1928. He was killed on January 25th, 1932. They had two girls, Wanda Corrine and Flora Colleen, and they have been " We Three " for the past 70 years.

Flora was preceded in death by brothers Frank, David, Lloyd, Nephi, and sisters Margaret, and Venna, son-in-law Kenneth Flygare, grandson, Paul Flygare, and two great-great-grandsons, Nathan Jack and Tyson Jarek Whitaker.

Flora is survived by two girls, Wanda Flygare and Colleen (Jack) Johnson, 11 grandchildren, 32 great-children, 5 great-great-grandchildren, one brother and three sisters.

The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Pioneer Care Center for the good care they provided Flora during the past two years, and Heritage Hospice for their support.

Funeral services will be Saturday, December 22, 2001 at 11:00 a.m. at Myers Mortuary 205 S. 100 E., Brigham City, where friends may call from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. Interment will be in the Brigham City Cemetery.
