Ann (Gloria) Otterstom Petro Obituary (1947 - 2018)

(Gloria) Ann Otterstom Petro our loving Mom, Grandma, Great Grandma, Sister, Aunt, and friend, was called back home to her Heavenly Father's loving arms on January 7th, 2018. Ann was born in Salt Lake City, Utah to Gloria and Kenneth Otterstrom on August 3rd 1947. Anyone who spent time with our mother knew her family was her everything. She was THE best mom and grandma anyone could ask for. She was always there for you no matter what. Ann was married to Bob Petro for 43 years, (and then divorced) and together they raised 5 children, Marty, Curtis (Stefanie), Chad (Barbi), Angie (Edwin) Madriz, and Mindy (Nick) Galanis. She had 16 grandchildren (with 1 more on the way), and 1 great grandchild. Ann graduated from Davis High School in 1965, and she retired from the Davis County School District in 2016 where she worked for over 25 years. Mom was a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints where she served in many positions and was loved by everyone who served with her. In her passing mom was met by her Mother and Father (Gloria & Kenneth Otterstrom), Sister (Christine), and Brother (Wylie). Along with her children, grandchildren, and greatgrandchild she is survived by her brother Allen (Carol), sister in law Vickie Otterstrom, brother Joe (Becky), sister Dayna Jagger, sister Peggy (Stan) Ward, and brother Mike. We would like to thank Camille Smith for her long and special friendship with mom, she loved and appreciated you very much. We love you Mom and you are going to be greatly missed! We know that you will always be with us and watching over us as our guardian angel until we met again. Friends and family may call for visitation on Monday January 15, 2018 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Myers Mortuary, 5865 S. 1900 W. Roy, Ut. 84067. An additional hour of visitation will be held 1 hour prior to funeral services which will be held on Tuesday January 16t, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Syracuse 3rd Ward, 2679 S. 1000 W. Syracuse, UT. 84075. Interment at Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch.
