Bernell Grizz Calloway Obituary (1956 - 2009)

Bernell "Grizz" Calloway OGDEN - Bernie "Grizz" Calloway, 53, died April 7, 2009 at McKay Dee Hospital after a long battle with alcoholism. He was born January 12, 1956 in Logan, Utah to Bernell Norton and Joanne Hughes Calloway. He was a member of the LDS Church. "Grizz" worked for Ogden City for about 15 years and UDOT for about 4 years. He loved his motorcycle, camping and the outdoors. He is survived by his father; daughter Sanya Dauma; one grandchild Vash; step-children Zoey Beeton and Larry Beeton; sisters Marcia Diane Calloway-Graham (Jim) and Becky Calloway Jex (Rodney) and his good friends Mark Clark and Brandon Lee Hester. He was preceded in death by his mother and his dog Lalya. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 13, 2009 at Myers Evergreen Memorial Park, 100 Monroe Blvd. Friends may call prior to the service from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. at Myers Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd., Ogden.
