Beloved father, grandfather and husband, John A. Lawrence, passed away Dec. 9, 2016. Born March 21, 1933 in Fullerton, California to Leonard and Rachel (Yearwood) Lawrence.

John is preceded in death by brother, Leonard and three half-sisters.

John served in the Air Force from 1951 to 1961, with 4 years in Japan. In 1957 he married Yoshi Minoshima, they had three children and divorced in 1980.

His children are: John (Traci) of Manassas Park, VA; Tina of San Diego, CA; and Steve (Yvonne) of Maple Valley, WA.

John worked in space programs and Aeronautics. He joined the LDS Church in 1960, serving faithfully in many callings and he also loved Family History.

He married Pamela Nelson-Eller March 4, 1995 in the Oakland, CA Temple. They served LDS missions to Albuquerque, NM and Little Rock, AR.

He is survived by one sister, Carol Ann Boles of CA and 4 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, December 17, 2016 at the No. Ogden 4th Ward, 1791 North 600 East with a viewing prior from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Interment, Ben Lomond Cemetery.
