Kit Chee was a culinary artist, a chef who poured her love into every dish she prepared. She was an esteemed chef at Wong's Restaurant until her retirement in 1995. Her passion for cooking extended far beyond her professional life; it was a gift she lovingly shared with her family, friends, and anyone fortunate enough to taste her delicious meals. Outside her kitchen, Kit Chee was a devoted Buddhist who found peace in prayer and offering food and company during special occasions. Her gentle spirit and smiling face were a source of joy and comfort to those around her, exemplifying the Buddhist teaching, "Radiate boundless love towards the entire world — above, below, and across — unhindered, without ill will, without enmity."
