Krista Beus Keogh Obituary (1976 - 2001)

Krista Beus Keogh, 25, returned to her loving Father in Heaven, November 10, 2001. Krista was born January 26, 1976 in Ogden, Utah to David and Karen Beus. On the crisp, clear morning of Dec 18, 1998, Krista, an incredibly beautiful bride, married her long time sweetheart and eternal companion Abel James Keogh in the Logan LDS Temple. She was a lifelong active member of the Ogden 15th ward where she served in and magnified many callings. Krista graduated with Honors from Ben Lomond High School in 1994 and from Weber State University with a degree in English in 1999. Krista was an accomplished writer and poet and had many of her pieces published in various literary magazines. Her love of education and learning gave her a tremendous ability to assist students of all ages in pursuing their educational dreams. She was a tutor at Weber State University's writing center and the Northridge Learning Center for several years. Her love of all things artistic made the world a place filled with beauty for Krista. Literature, drama, poetry, art, photography and fine music were among her special loves, for she could truly see the added dimension they brought to life. Her attention to detail made everything she did unique. Krista was compassionate, caring and passionate in everything she did. She shared an extraordinary relationship with her Grandmother Draney and her brother/friend Scotty. Becoming a part of the Keogh family was a joy beyond compare for Krista as she truly loved and admired each member of her new family. All of her relationships in life personified the phrase, "live well, laugh often, love much." Krista "blew gray cinder into glow" in the lives of many and through them her glow will go on. Our beautiful, creative, loving and vivacious wife, mother, daughter, granddaughter, sister and friend will be deeply missed. She is survived by her husband, Abel James Keogh, Ogden; a daughter, Hope Krista Keogh, a brother D. Scott Beus of Ogden; father, David George Beus, mother, Karen Draney Beus, of Farr West; grandmother, Loretta Draney of Ogden; grandfather, Larry D. Beus of Ogden; many uncles, aunts, cousins, her precious father and mother in-law, Michael and Anna Keogh of Ogden; and her brothers and sisters in-law. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Hope Keogh fund at Golden West Credit Union.
