LADINE PEHRSON THOMAS Click here to listen to Funeral Recording Our loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend, Ladine Thomas, 79, died March 9, 2013 after battling breast cancer. She was born July 19, 1933 to Swen L. Pehrson and Vera Jensen. She was born and raised with her brother in Brigham City. She graduated from Box Elder High School. During her teenage years she worked at the Roxy Theater. She married Lew H. Thomas on Oct. 27, 1951. They were sealed June 26, 1952 in the Logan Temple. She was the mother of three children. Ladine worked most of her adult life. She had been employed at Shupe Williams Candy Co., worked for over 27 years as a medical assistant and office manager for several doctors. She retired from the IRS. She was active in the LDS Church, serving in presidencies of most of the auxiliary organizations of the church. She kept track of almost all of the girls she worked with in M.I.A. and those who served with her in other callings. She was a faithful visiting teacher and a loyal friend. She loved doing Temple Work and served as an Ogden Temple worker for many years. Ladine's greatest joy was serving others. She will be remembered for the countless birthday phone calls she made, the letters she wrote to missionaries and the many acts of kindness she rendered to her friends and neighbors. Ladine loved people and was accepting of everyone, making friends with almost everyone she met. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Richard J. Pehrson; her son, David L. Thomas and daughter, LuAnn Nielsen. She is survived by her husband of almost 62 years; her daughter, Barbara (Craig) Rogers; son-in-law, Lynn D. (Cindy) Nielsen, and daughter-in-law, Karen Thomas; thirteen grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren with three on the way. She is also survived by her sister-in-law; a niece and a nephew. Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 14 at 11:00 in the Roy 4th Ward Chapel, 5300 South 2100 West in Roy. A viewing will be held Wednesday, March 13th from 6 - 8 pm at Myers Ogden Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd. and from 9:30-10:45 on Thursday at the church. Interment, Evergreen Memorial Park.
