Larae D Seifert Obituary (1938 - 2008)

LARAE D. SEIFERT WEST POINT - LaRae D. Seifert, 69, passed away Friday, January 11, 2008. She was born March 4, 1938, a daughter of Rufus Noble and Lila Maude Bridges Day. She was raised in Fillmore, Utah, and graduated from Millard High School. She married Fredrick Davies on August 24, 1956, in the Salt Lake Temple and they were later divorced. She then married Karl H. Seifert on December 28, 1967, in Elko, Nevada. Their marriage was later solemnized on February 24, 1990, in the Ogden Temple. Karl passed away in 1999. LaRae was a medical bookkeeper for many doctor's offices and hospitals for thirty plus years. She was a member of the LDS West Point 11th Ward. She served in the Relief Society, Primary and Stake single adults. For the past eight years she has done the work she loved, working in the Temple. She enjoyed dancing, horse racing, playing solitaire, and e-mailing all her friends and family. She loved to ride her bike and enjoyed Sunday dinners with her extended family, David and Tami Brooke. She is survived by her children; Richard A. (Liliane) Davies, Susan (Jare) Elbrader, Sherrie (Richard) Almeida, Dan Seifert, 18 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by one brother Max (LuDean) Day. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Karl, one daughter, Joyce Ann Summers, two sons, K. Alan Seifert, Larry Michael, and a brother Donald Robert (Bob) Day. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 16, 2008, at 11:00 a.m. at the West Point LDS 11th Ward, 4383 West 300 North, West Point. A viewing will be held Tuesday, January 15, 2008, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Myers Roy Mortuary, 5865 South 1900 West, Roy, and Wednesday from 9:45 - 10:45 a.m., prior to services, at the ward building. Interment in the West Point City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Huntsman Cancer Institute, 2000 Circle of Hope, Salt Lake City, UT 84112.
