Laraine Glines Leatham Obituary (1933 - 2015)

Laraine Glines Leatham Laraine Glines Leatham passed away on June 8, 2015, reuniting with her husband and parents. She was born April 25, 1933 on the family farm outside of Cardston, Alberta, Canada. Her parents Basil and Grace Glines taught her and her 5 siblings the value of working hard and serving others, a trait she demonstrated her entire life. She moved to Utah to pursue an education in Home Economics at BYU. She started teaching in Grantsville, UT where she fell in love with James Leatham. They married on July 31, 1958 in the Cardston LDS Temple. They then had 2 boys, Allen and Blake. The family returned to BYU while she received her Masters degree in Secondary Ed. They then settled in Ogden where she taught at Bonneville High. She developed the preschool education program which is still in operation today. There she influenced thousands of kids and helped shape their future. Laraine enjoyed doing anything that involved her family: camping, fishing, traveling, cooking, talking on the phone and family reunions. She was always there when they needed her. She spent her retirement years helping to raise her 3 grandchildren. Her family, extended family and friends were her life. She was most happy when she was with them. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2015 at 11 a.m. at the Wasatch LDS Ward, 6350 South Combe Road, South Ogden. Family and friends may call on Friday, June 12th from 6 to 8 p.m. at Myers Ogden Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd and on Saturday from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services.
