Laverle Mary Whitaker Andersen Obituary (1944 - 2016)

BRIGHAM CITY - LaVerle Mary Whitaker Andersen, 72, passed away on Tuesday, July 26, 2016. LaVerle was born on June 30, 1944 in Brigham City, Utah a daughter of Elmer and Alice Viola Johnson Whitaker. She married Blaine "Skip" Eli Andersen on July 11, 1960 in Ogden, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Ogden LDS Temple. LaVerle enjoyed quilting, embroidering, crochet, gardening, spending time with her grandchildren, camping and baking. She liked going to LaTienda, purchasing scratch cards and testing her luck. Surviving are her husband Skip, children: Shelly (Moy) Chambers, Salem, UT; Jody (James) Jensen, Brigham City, UT; Bradley Andersen, Brigham City, UT; Suzette Kozak, Brigham City, UT; 15 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, sister, Valinda (Ronald) Jackson, Clearfield, UT. Preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and two brothers and her sweet granddaughter Sadie Paige. Funeral services will be held Monday, August 1, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Myers Mortuary, 205 S. 100 E., Brigham City. Viewings will be Sunday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Monday from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. at the Mortuary. Interment will be in the Brigham City Cemetery.
