LaVon Truscott Click here to listen to Funeral Recording LaVon Truscott of Plain City passed away November 9, 2012. She was born March 21, 1931 in Moroni, UT to Edward and Della Johansen Christensen. She attended North Sanpete High School. LaVon married L. Clair Truscott on Aug. 25, 1947 in Mount Pleasant, UT. Their vows were solemnized June 1, 1965 in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Logan Temple. She worked in the child nutrition program for Weber School District. She began her career at Wahlquist Junior High School and finished as the unit manager at North Ogden Elementary School with several stops in between. Her interests included cross stitch, crocheting and spending time with her family. LaVon is survived by her children, Steve (Eileen) Truscott of No. Ogden, UT, Kay (Joseph) Johnson of So. Ogden, UT; 2 grandchildren, Val Steven (Tara) Truscott of Roy, UT, Andrea (Thomas) Dye of Providence, UT; 7 great-grandchildren, Oakley, Ellie, Porter and Morgan Dye, Breckin, Maile and Kenleigh Truscott; 2 sisters and 1 brother. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clair and her parents. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2012 at Myers Ogden Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd. Friends may call on Tuesday, Nov. 13th from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Interment, Plain City Cemetery. The family would like to give thanks to the Crestwood Care Center staff and nurses; also to friends Karma and Gordon Sorensen and Kae and Gary Hill, for all their help and care.
