Lawana Farner Obituary (1951 - 2015)

HONEYVILLE- LaWana Farner passed away October 9, 2015. Born on August 30, 1951, she was the daughter of Montell Wickham and Margaretta Price. She married Steven Farner on August 14, 1970 in Brigham City, and later was sealed in the Idaho Falls Temple. She graduated from Logan High school and attended Stevens Henager College. LaWana worked at WalMart as a cashier where everyone lovingly referred to her as "Mom." She always was crocheting something for someone. LaWana loved gnomes, and had a gnome garden out in front of her house. LaWana loved to decorate for holidays; she had decorating themes for every month. Everyone loved her laugh. She was a member of the Honeyville First Ward where she was currently serving as Visiting Teaching Coordinator. She is survived by her husband, Steven; daughters Crystal (Kurtis) Prestwich, Twin Falls, ID; and Angella (Andy) Brooks, Goldbar, WA; four grandchildren: Jordan & Tyler, Natasha, & Ethan; brothers LaMoine (Karen) Wickham, DeLoy Wickham and DuWayne (Cerina) Wickham. Preceded in death by her parents and brother, Clair Wickham. Funeral services will be held Friday, October 16, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Honeyville 1st Ward Chapel, 2620 W. 6980 N., Honeyville, UT. Family will greet friends from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. at the Church preceding the service. Lunch will be provided by the Honeyville Relief Society. Interment at the Aultorest Memorial Park.
