Leaone Cook Smith Obituary (1917 - 2007)

BRIGHAM CITY -Leaone C. Smith, 89, passed away on Sunday, April 1, 2007 at Pioneer Care Center. Leaone was born in Pleasant Grove, Utah on September 4, 1917 a daughter of Leroy Austin and Mary Louisa Bennett Cook. She married Thomas Howard Smith on September 24, 1941 in the Salt Lake Temple; he died on April 23, 1989. She served in numerous calling in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was a member of Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. Surviving are her sons, Thomas Howard (Colleen) Smith, St. George, UT; Richard Leon (Robie) Smith, Pleasant View, UT; Bruce David (Linda) Smith, Farr West, UT; 13 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, and brother Farrell Cook, Salt Lake City, UT. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and several brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 5, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at the Brigham City 3rd Ward Chapel, 203 West 200 North, Brigham City. Friends may call on Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Myers Mortuary, 205 S. 100 E., Brigham City and on Thursday from 9:00 to 9:30 a.m. at the Mortuary. Interment will be in the Brigham City Cemetery.
