Leola Ruth Jones Obituary (1905 - 2002)

LEOLA RUTH COY JONES Clearfielda"Leola Ruth Coy Jones, 96, passed away Wednesday, March 27, 2002 at Heritage Park Care Center due to natural causes. She was born on October 11, 1905, in Plain City, UT, a daughter of Walter James Coy and Sarah Taylor. She married Elmer Arthur Jones on August 7, 1924 in Ogden, Utah. Their vows were later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple on January 14, 1963. Leola served as a Primary and Sunday School teacher, visiting teacher, and was also a member of the DUP. She was a farmer along with her husband, and also worked with the school lunch and in the canning factories. She is survived by her daughter, Carma Kerbs of Clearfield, UT, eight grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer, a daughter, and granddaughter.
