L. Clair Truscott Click here to listen to Funeral Recording Plain City - Leonard Clair Truscott returned to his Heavenly Home after a long and productive life on May 23, 2011. Clair was born October 28, 1923 in Mt. Pleasant, Utah to Leonard and Iva Truscott. He married LaVon Christensen on Aug. 25, 1947, in Mt. Pleasant. Their vows were solemnized June 1, 1965, in the Logan LDS Temple. He graduated from Wasatch Academy in 1941, and attended Snow College where he played football prior to enlisting in the U.S. Army. He served in the Philippines as a member of the 38th Infantry Division during World War II. He retired from Mountain Bell after 33 years of service in August 1982. Clair served in numerous LDS Church callings. His interests include gardening, watching sports and spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife, LaVon of Plain City; children, Steve and Eileen Truscott, North Ogden; and Kay and Joe Johnson, South Ogden; 2 grandchildren, Andrea T. and Thomas Dye, Providence, Val Steven and Tara F. Truscott, Roy; 7 great-grandchildren, Oakley, Ellie, Porter and Morgan Dye, Breckin, Maile and Kenleigh Truscott and his brother, Kenneth (Adele) Truscott, St. George. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, May 26, 2011 at Myers Ogden Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd. A viewing will be held on Wednesday, May 25th from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday, from 1 to 1:45 p.m. Interment in the Plain City Cemetery.
