Louann Rose Johnston Obituary (1956 - 2015)

LouAnn Johnston click here to listen to Funeral Recording LouAnn Rose Johnston's battle with cancer ended May 6, 2015 at about 11:25 AM. After 8 months of battling with the Surgeries, Chemo, and then the constant pain for the last couple of months she passed with a fairly easy time at home. Her husband Kit, daughter and son-in-law Sarah & Roger, daughter-in-law Cindy, and mother Vera were present when the time came. Others of the family just didn't have enough time from when we were told by the nurse that there was only a short time left. LouAnn had opened her eyes after four or five days that she had not woken up and Sarah talked to her for a while reassuring her it was ok with all of us for her to go home to her Heavenly Father. She is preceded in death by her Grandparents, Father Lloyd H. Rose, Sister Julie, and Niece Wendy. She is survived by her Mother Vera Rose, Husband Kit Johnston, Children Richard Rose (Cindy), Sarah Tomney (Roger); Step-children James Johnston (Renee), and David Johnston; Siblings Lorna Millar (Ron), Mark Rose (Cheryl), Glen Rose (Mary), Lynn Bass (Eddie), and Dennis Rose (Jodee); 17 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren. She loved camping, fishing, quilting, crafting and any and everything to do with her grandchildren. Our family would like to give a special thanks to Intermountain Home Health Care and Hospice nurses and staff that cared for LouAnn. Without you she would not have been able to remain home with her loved ones. God Bless you all. LouAnn thank you for giving me the best 25 years of my life. Love you always Kit. My mom loved everyone and everything it did not matter who you were you were welcome in her home this is what I grew up with my whole life and it will live on I love you mom love your son Richard Rose. Mom was always willing to help anyone; she had the biggest, most giving heart of anyone I have ever known. She instilled the deepest sense of family in her children and that legacy will live on for generations to come. Love you Sarah. Grandma I'm going to miss your smiles, hugs and stories, but most of all I will miss your love. Love you always Kambrie. My grandma was the best thing that ever happened in my life. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at Myers Ogden Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd. Visitations will be held on Monday, May 11th form 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday prior to the service from 12:45 to 1:45 p.m. Interment in the Portage City Cemetery.
