Louri Bullard Carlson Obituary (1958 - 2017)

Louri Carlson Louri Carlson passed away March 22, 2017. She was born in Palm Springs, California on April 16, 1958 to Cleora K. (Mead) and Cecil C. Bullard. A contagious laugh, gentle and encouraging words, bright red lipstick, and mock aggravation at LeRoy, her cat, are some of the highlights of the life of Louri Carlson. She was positive, even in hard circumstances or ill health, and always seemed to see the bright side in life's circumstances. She loved to draw, do genealogy, hear her husband call her "pumpkin", go hiking, fishing, and hit the ice cream shop. She was good at cards and finding movies for a night out. She loved her baseball and being a little league coach. After two years of college she became a bank manager at Wells Fargo, and raised her family. She was married and later divorced; Steven and Shaina were born from that union. She then met Scott Carlson and they were married July 21, 2007, eventually moving from California to Ogden. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and she loved her friends in her ward. She had three good church friends; Norma Love, Susan Rice and Lori Gilbertson. She is survived by her husband Scott; children, Steven, Shaina, April (Troy) Habana, Desarea Carlson and Chelsea Bauknecht; 11 grandchildren; brother C.J. Bullard; four nephews, Kent, Morgan, Lindsey and Cecil. She was preceded in death by her sister Lisa Sparto.
