Lucile Merna Stahle Johnson Obituary (1929 - 2015)

Lucile Merna Stahle Johnson July 14, 1929 - August 27, 2015 Our loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother Lucile Merna Stahle Johnson, 86, of Roy, passed away peacefully August 27, 2015. She was a faithful wife, mother, and grandmother who cared for and loved her family! She was born July 14, 1929 and was the daughter of John and Lucile Stahle. She was raised in Bountiful and graduated from Davis High School where she served as a student body officer. She worked for Bell Telephone before her marriage. She married her eternal companion, L. Kay Johnson (Johnny), May 27, 1949 in the Salt Lake Temple. She faithfully served in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints her entire life including Stake and Ward Primary President, Relief Society President, Junior Sunday School Coordinator, and taught in Sunday School, Young Women and Primary. She and her husband served 3 full-time missions together. She will be best remembered for her loving kindness and concern shared with all especially the children. She is survived by her husband; five children: Alan (Linda Kay), Bruce (Marie), Linda Williams (James), Mark (Gayle), Michael (Judy); 31 grandchildren and 55 great- grandchildren. She is also survived by her 4 brothers, Howard, Dean, Larry, and Gail. She is preceded in death by her parents, brother Niles Stahle and sister Francine Stahle. Funeral Services will be held Monday, August 31, 2015 at 10 a.m. in the Lakeview Ward Chapel, 4900 South 2000 W. in Roy, UT. A viewing will be held on Sunday, August 30, 2015, from 6 to 8 p.m., at Myers Roy Mortuary 5865 S. 1900 W. Roy, UT., and on Monday from 8:40 - 9:40 am, prior to services at the church.
