Marama Holmes Hansen Click here to listen to Funeral Recording Kaysville - Marama Holmes Hansen, 86, passed away January 25, 2013 at her home. She was born February 19, 1926 in Ogden, Utah the daughter of LaRene Woodland and Amasa Stetson Holmes. She lived in Ogden most of her life and the last six years in Kaysville. She graduated from Ogden High School and received her Bachelor's degree in nursing from the University of Utah. Marama married Courtley B. Hansen June 25, 1951 in Ogden. She was a member of the LDS Church and was active in the Relief Society. She ran the Blood Bank at the Dee Hospital. She worked for Dr. Keith Farr as a nurse and office manager, she also worked as the Occupational Health Nurse at Western Zirconium. Her love of art and water color painting lead her to co-found Gallery 25 on Ogden's historic 25th Street. Her other interests included jewelry making, gardening, reading, sewing, playing Bridge and traveling. She had a lifelong love of cats. Marama is survived by her son, Clayton B. Hansen(daughter-in-law, Ila Jean Larson); two grandsons, Keith Cameron Hansen and Parker Christian Hansen; also two sisters and a brother, Shanna May Caldwell, Keith Amasa Holmes and Karen LuAnn Droesbeke. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Bruce Holmes and her husband of 39 years, Courtley.
