Martha Riggs Naegle Obituary (1908 - 2007)

BRIGHAM CITY - Martha Riggs Naegle, 98, passed away on March 8, 2007 in Brigham City, Utah, of cause's incident to age. She was born December 12, 1908 in Dublan, Mexico to Martha Smith and Brannick Riggs. Martha graduated from St. David High School in 1927 in St. David, Arizona and nurses training at St. Mary's Hospital in 1930 in Tucson, Arizona. Martha worked as a registered nurse before her marriage. After her children were older she worked at the Hospital in Tombstone, Arizona and a Care Center in Emmett, Idaho. She was an active active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints all her life and served an LDS Mission to the Hawaiian Islands in 1934. Martha worked in many other positions in the Church throughout her life, including working in the Jordan River Temple. Martha married Leonard Naegle December 4, 1939 in Lordsburg, New Mexico. Their marriage was solemnized in the Mesa Arizona Temple on June 15, 1954. She was preceded in death by her parents, all of her sisters and brothers. Also her husband and son, Dan Naegle of Riverton, UT. Surviving are her daughters, Lenore (Leon) Wardle, Wayland, MA; Pauline (Rees) White, Brigham City, UT; son, Jess (Jacque) Naegle, Jordan Valley, OR; she has 13 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be Monday, March 12, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. in the Pomerene Cemetery Interment will be in the Pomerene Cemetery in Arizona.
