Miles Tyrone Goodwin Obituary (1953 - 2001)

Miles Tyrone Goodwin, 48, passed away Friday, December 28, 2001, from injuries suffered in a hit- and-run car accident. He was born on December 2, 1953 in Ogden, Utah, the son of Dovie Juanita and Roy Alexander Goodwin. Tyrone completed classes at Canyon View Elementary School. He was employed at Enable Industries for the past 26 years. He was an active member of the Clearfield Church of Christ as well as active in mutual for the handicapped. Tyrone was an Eagle Scout. He was an enthusiastic participant in Special Olympics earning medals in bowling, track and field, soccer, basketball, and swimming. He enjoyed watching football and basketball. He loved the Dallas Cowboys and the Utah Jazz. He met no strangers and touched the lives of everyone he knew. He was very proud to be a brother, an uncle, a cousin, and a friend. Tyrone is survived by his mother, Dovie Goodwin, Ogden; his sister, Roietta Fulgham, Sacramento, CA; his niece, Keia Fulgham, Sacramento, CA; his nephew, Kendall Youngblood, Riverton, UT; his cousins, Archie Woodard, Philadelphia, PA; Sandra Mack, Henderson, NV; Wilma Miles, San Jose, CA; and Monroe Miles, Altadena, CA; his good friends here in Ogden, Adolph Martinez and Steve Rees. He was preceded in death by his father.
